California Half Ironman
This is one of the biggest races in Southern California, as an Official Ironman Qualifier. It's 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run is a true test ofendurance. The classic draws big sponsors, big money and big names. Don't miss this one, even if you just come to Oceanside to watch.

April
The Big Rock Triathlon is staged in an area that is only a short drive from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. It is also close to the Ontario Airport for those athletes traveling from Northern California or other states and countries. The course will test the stamina and endurance of each competitor. Plus, there will be the conquest of the "Rock"during the run portion of the race (Big Rock only!). Limited to the first 600 entrants. New for 2005 there will be a Big Rock Race Series. The first race will be in April with the second race in November. 
The Dam Sprint Mountain Bike Triathlon is the perfect triathlon for first timers and off-roaders. Calm swim, 4 feet maximum water depth, Easy flat Mt. bike course, easyout-and-back run.
Devil Dog Duathlon is one of the best in the business! Your first 5k will be on a mostly flat course that loops through the 43 Area. The 30K bike course takes you out and back through scenic Camp Pendleton. The last leg will be another 5K through the 43 Area. This course is fully supported with water points and aid stations. Each participant receives a commemorative race T-shirt as well as post-race refreshments. Chip timing with split times for each leg of the race. This race is guaranteed to provide Hard Corps Competition at its best. Are you up to the challenge?

Wildflower Triathlons The Jamba Juice Wildflower Triathlon is the second largest triathlon in the world. This race is like the Woodstock of triathlons. There is a great Exposition area with live bands, food vendors, the latest triathlon gear, race clinics and more. This race is guaranteed to fill up, so stay alert as to when registration begins and sign up immediately! They have a long course, mountain bike triathlon and an Olympic distance race. This is not a local (San Diego) race, but it's one you don't want to miss for sure!
Spring Sprint Trithlon and Duathlon
Annual Spring Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon. This new event is designed for the novice, recreational and experienced triathlete and duathlete. The course distances of a 1/4 mile swim or 1 mile run, 9 mile bike and 3 mile run allows the competitor to go as fast, or as steady as one desires.

San Diego International Triathlon and Sprint Triathlon
The San Diego International Triathlon is the premiere triathlon event in San Diego County. The race features a sprint distance as well as the international distance triathlon
San Diego Kids Triathlon & Duathlon
The Kids Triathlon & Duathlon is part of the excitement of the San Diego International Triathlon benefiting St. Vincent De Paul Village. The race is now the weekend before the adult race. The date change will help the Kids Triathlon & Duathlon be bigger and better! The event is expected to sell out at a capacity of 250 kids.
World Famout Mud Run has got to be included here. We do realize it's not a triathlon, duathlon or any other multisport event, but you don't want to miss out on this competition. This is the most fun you can have running a 10K! The Mud Run is a challenging 10K run with hills, tire obstacles, low sand crawl, river crossings, two 5-foot walls with mud on both sides, tunnel crawl, slippery hill climb, and the final 30-foot mud pit. Along the course there will be 6 water points with personnel staged at each. Race individually, within your age division, or as a member of a 5-person team. Choose the Open category with no restrictions on attire or footwear, or the Boots and Utilities category, which requires regulation military boots and utility trousers.
This is a two day event, taking place over a Saturday and Sunday. Register early race cap is 3,500 entrants and there is no race day registration.
Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon The Escape From AlcatrazSM Triathlon course includes a 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay. The race continues with an 18 mile bike ride out the Great Highway, through the Golden Gate Park, and concludes with an 8 mile run through the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The finish is at The Marina Green.
This race is famous among triathletes and spectators from around the world. Cold water, stories of sharks, the notorious stairs and beach runs....all ads up to one heck of a race! This is not a local (San Diego) race, but you're going to want to race it if you ever get the chance. This is one of those races you must qualify for, and that alone is tough.

Carlsbad Triathlon The Triathlon ranks in the world's top 5 Longest Running triathlons. It is a sprint distance race, consisting of a 1K Swim, 25K Bike and 5K Run. The course begins at Tamarack Surf Beach, and follows the coastline of Carlsbad, past our scenic beaches, lagoons and wildlife preserve. It boasts a calm ocean swim, a rolling bike course and a smooth run for the finish.
Camp Pendleton International Triathlon
This is a GREAT course for your Olympic distance PR and Hard Corps Competition at its best. The location, Del Mar Beach, cannot be beaten as a Triathlon venue. It is a great course for spectators as well as athletes. This year the 1500 meter swim will be in the protected Del Mar Boat Basin; no waves to battle! The 40K bike course, which takes the athlete through scenic Camp Pendleton, includes a little bit of everything: flat and fast and a few challenging hills throughout. The 10K run is relatively flat and fast. Course support includes water points and aid stations will be available throughout. Every athlete will receive a commemorative race T-Shirt. Chip timing with split times for each leg of the race.
Register early race cap is 800 entrants to preserve the quality of the event.

Solana Beach Triathlon
Held in Fletcher Cove, Solana Beach, there are two races here, a trithlon and a duathlon. The Triathlon: 1/4 Mile Ocean Swim / 9 Mile Bike / 3 Mile Run and the Duathlon:
1 Mile Run/9 Mile Bike/3 Mile Run.
Imperial Beach Triathlon / Duathlon
Starting at Imperial Beach Pier the Triathlon distances are 1K swim 20K bike 5K runand the Duthlon distances are 3K run 15K bike 5K run.

Special Warfare Superfrog Triathlon
The race at North Island Naval Air Station is a continuous and circuit-style course that follows the following sequence: - Swim: 1.2 miles ( two 1000 yard ocean laps ) - Bike: 56 mileS ( five 11.2 mile laps ) - Run: 13.1 miles ( six 2.2 mile laps on sand/pavement )

Ironman Hawaii - It probably doesn't need any explanation, but for you newbies, Ironman distance racing consists of a 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike race and 26.2-mile run. Competitors have 17 hours to finish. Cutoff times are also applied to the swim (2:20 after start of race) and the bike (10:30 after the start of race.)
Reebok Women's Triathlon
The fourth stop of the Reebok Women's Triathlon Series, San Diego is thesite of this women's only triathlon. The Reebok Women's Triathlon - San Diego is a full weekend of fitness related seminars, training sessions, the Reebok MultiSport Experience and pre and post-race hospitality. In 2004,the triathlon is open to 2,000 women and we anticipate the event to fill, so register today!
Mission Bay Triathlon
The first triathlon in history, the Mission Bay Triathlon was held in 1974 as a Run-Bike-Swim-Run-Swim event on Fiesta Island put on by the San Diego Track Club. Costing all of $1, the race consisted of over 5 miles of running, 5 miles of cycling and 600 yards of swimming. In 2001, over 1300 competitors from around the country will return to Mission Bay to celebrate triathlon. Join us at the birthplace of the sport.

San Diego Triathlon Challenge

Tinsel Triathlon The Tinsel is a great triathlon for beginners and seasoned athletes wanting to squeeze in just one more race. It's a short course race that's a bit out of order compared to your normal event order. Starts with a 5k Run, 10K Run, and then last you do 75 Meter Swim in a heated pool.
